Troilo: Feeling, Colour, and the Union of Words and Music

​Aníbal Troilo played the bandoneon with such feeling that he was revered as the “best bandoneon of Buenos Aires”. As a bandleader his aim was to unite the tango meant for singing with the one meant for dancing, and his success led to the second stage of tango’s Golden Decade: less beat driven, more melodic and lyrical. We’ll follow this development and listen to the outstanding contributions of his most important musicians and singers, and the many emotions they created.
